Like all Active Key hygiene keyboards of the "-12"-range, the AK-C8112 hygiene keyboard has a particularly flat key profile. This has been proven to remove more bacteria and germs during cleaning. Together with the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Amberg-Weiden, CHERRY carried out a phosphor gel emulation test with the AK-C8100 and AK-C7412 hygiene keyboards. This has clearly shown that the keyboard with the flat key profile (AK-C7412) leaves significantly less to no cleaning residue in the spaces between the keys after wipe disinfection than the keyboard with the higher profile.
