Bring Lessons to Life!
VR Expeditions 2.0 enables teachers to bring students on virtual trips to places like museums, underwater, and outer space. Expeditions are collections of linked virtual reality (VR) content and supporting materials that can be used alongside the existing curriculum. These trips are collections of virtual reality panoramas — 360° panoramas and 3D images — annotated with details, points of interest, and questions that make them easy to integrate into curriculum already used in schools.
A Turnkey Solution
With the RobotLAB virtual reality classroom pack, you'll have everything you need to take your class on virtual reality tours: a tablet, virtual reality viewers, phones, a router to connect them all and a transport case to move the equipment between classrooms.
Teacher/Student Usage
Teachers are able to choose various trips (expeditions) to lead a class through a virtual field trip. By using the teacher tablet and the prompts in Expeditions, they address specific points of interest along the way via arrows and teacher prompts, while tracking where students are viewing via smiley faces. Additional features: pause trips to get class’s attention, play ambient sounds to make the experience realistic, and allow students to explore on their own.
Create Your Own VR Content
With Tour Creator, you can easily create virtual reality tours using footage from 360º cameras or choosing from the huge selection of existing Google Street View content. Each Google Expeditions kit includes a 360º camera for creating your own personalized virtual reality tours.
